Biography

Ashanti is the Business Development and Outreach Director for Warrior Spirit Recovery. She has a strong desire to help build connections for her community to provide Tribal and non-Tribal members a safe place to reconnect spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally to Native traditional healing practices. As a tribal member herself, as well as a person in long-term recovery, Ashanti has personally experienced the benefits of when a community comes together and creates space for healing in a traditional way.

Warrior Spirit Recovery is a White Bison Affiliated Residential treatment facility located in Tooele Utah, owned and operated by the Skull Valley Band of Goshutes. Serving both Tribal and non-Tribal members to bring together a healing process that addresses the needs of the each individual in an open space, allowing personal growth. Warrior Spirit has both male and female programs each having different locations to provide an safe environment to reconnect with ones self. Ashanti’s role there has been to build bridges to the communities surrounding Tooele, Utah, to help create and foster relationships with health care providers, community services, and bring an awareness of recovery to those seeking services.
