Ginger Casper

Biography

Ginger was born and raised in the Uintah Basin and loves being a part of a small town community. She works as a Peer Support Specialist and part-time Case Manager for Northeastern Counseling Center in Roosevelt. Ginger is a person in recovery with 18 years of sobriety from Methamphetamines and lives with ADHD, depression, and panic attacks. She is a domestic violence survivor, as well as a survivor of multiple life pitfalls. Her job allows her to share her story with others to help bring hope and proof that change can happen.

Ginger’s presentation, Peer Support Rocks!, will describe peer support, how it can help our communities, and by sharing her experiences, show growth and hope is possible through treatment and support. Some highlights include embracing failure, developing working partnerships, and recognizing the individual. Expect some rock music quotes because Ginger is all about the music!
