Ashley Yaugher, PhD

Biography

Dr. Ashley Yaugher is a Professional Practice Extension Assistant Professor of Health & Wellness at Utah State University Extension. She is a Health Extension: Advocacy, Research & Teaching (HEART) Initiative faculty member and serves Carbon and Emery Counties; with a focus on the opioid overdose epidemic faced by these communities. Ashley has a strong background in health and wellness, and strives to make positive impacts on several key factors; including reducing stigma related to substance use treatment and recovery, increasing prevention efforts, and coordinating community opioid efforts.

She is currently the Project Director for several substance use prevention and stigma reduction grants; and the Founder and Chair of the Carbon & Emery Opioid & Substance Use (CEOSU) Coalition. Her professional interests include collaboration; rural mental health; community outreach; and Opioid Use Disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery.
