Ages 9-13: 11:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.

June 22
nd Physical Activity: Nature Walk | Logan River Trail Head
Get your bodies moving while joining us for a relaxing day along the river. We will be doing a nature walk where your kids will learn about the importance of water, sun, and nutrient intake along the way! We will be keeping our eyes out for clues as each child participated in the personalized, nature related scavenger hunt.

July 11th Physical Activity: Yoga/Zumba | Willow Park Amphitheater (450 W 700 S Logan, UT)
Do you like to move and groove? Your little ones will learn more about their bodies while acting out some fun yoga poses during our story book yoga party. Or if your kidos are 9-13 they can participate in our all-out Zumba dance battle. Not only will they be dancing with us but will also have the chance to teach us some of their favorite moves. Your children will be learning leadership and teamwork skills while being active and involved through the process!

July 19th Fruits and Veggies: Visit a Garden | Bridger Park Community Garden (1181 N 400 W Logan, UT)
How much do your kids actually know about their fruits and vegetables? Probably more than you think. In this workshop we will be learning about the germination of a seed and how plants grow. We will also cover why we need both fruits and vegetables and will sharpen our seed and sprout identification skills. Join us for a day in the garden where we will deepen our appreciation for all things produce related!

July 26th Be Prepared: Build a Shelter | Cache County Extension Office (179 N Main Street #109 Logan, UT)
Being prepared for an emergency helps us not to panic when the event arises. We want to deepen our basic first aid knowledge and learn how to effectively wrap up different wounds. We will also go over the three basic types of shelters and how to construct a makeshift shelter that will protect us from the elements. If kids desire, they may have the chance to taste or create some of the common "emergency kit foods".
