Conservation Planners
A conservation planner works with the producer to identify and achieve conservation objectives. Natural resource, economic, social, and ecological use is considered. Alternatives are evaluated and a plan is developed.
Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plan (CNMP) Planners
Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans (CNMPs) are conservation plans that are unique to livestock and poultry operations. These plans identify the practices that the livestock operator must follow. Manure management (including storage and application), mortality management, water quality issues, and record keeping requirements are covered in the CNMP.
