Too Good for Drugs

Too Good for Drugs is an evidence-based substance use prevention program that equips youth with skills proven to increase protective factors and reduce risk factors. The program promotes healthy decision-making, positive social norms, and prosocial connections that strengthen relationships, benefit communities, and support overall well-being.

Through partnerships with Salt Lake County Afterschool Programs and Granite School District, Too Good for Drugs is delivered as a 10-session curriculum, with each session lasting approximately 45 minutes. The program serves students in 4th through 8th grade at the following schools:

  • West Kearns Elementary
  • South Kearns Elementary
  • David Gourley Elementary
  • Dos Mundos Elementary
  • Copper Hills Elementary
  • Pleasant Green Elementary
  • Magna Elementary
  • Kearns Junior High
  • Kennedy Junior High
  • Matheson Junior High

2024–2025 School Year

During the 2024–2025 school year, the program:

  • Reached 198 unique students
  • Taught 178 classes
  • Provided 2,119 hours of education content
