Project CREST

Building resilience through school and family partnerships

Partnering With Schools and Families

Project CREST partners with schools to strengthen student well-being, build resilience, and foster positive school cultures through the integration of evidence-based prevention practices and meaningful family engagement. Recognizing that family engagement and prevention are most effective when implemented together, Project CREST helps schools create lasting systems that support student success both in and beyond the classroom.

Through Project CREST, schools and families gain access to research-based and evidence-based learning opportunities that promote connection, belonging, and a positive school culture where all students, families, and staff feel welcomed, valued, and supported.

Project CREST helps schools move beyond isolated activities toward a comprehensive approach that integrates family engagement and prevention into everyday school practice. By strengthening partnerships, building resilience, and supporting the use of proven strategies, Project CREST helps schools create lasting positive outcomes for students, families, and staff.

What Is Required of the School Partner

Project CREST partners with schools through a designated Site Coordinator who works closely with the CREST team to plan, promote, and implement activities that meet the unique needs of their school community.

Schools select a participation level that aligns with their goals and receive access to a menu of research-based workshops, evidence-based programs, and resilience-building lessons for students. Program selection is guided by school data as well as feedback from families and educators.

The CREST team provides training, facilitation, and implementation support, allowing schools to offer high-quality family engagement and prevention opportunities without placing additional demands on school staff.

How to Become a Project CREST School

To become a Project CREST school, an administrator or representative will complete an application and participate in a school interview regarding participation in the initiative. A member of the Project CREST team will then contact the school regarding participation status.

More information is coming. Project CREST locations, reach and impact numbers, reports and surveys, an application link, and an image gallery will be added when those materials are provided.
