USU Extension offers expertise and pertinent information specific to the needs of our county
USU Extension offers several resources on how to improve family relationship, food nutrition, and the home. From sewing and canning to couples education and CPR, join us for programs that strengthen home and family.
Whether exploring nutritional foods and menu planning or participating in 4-H sports and fitness events, Wayne County residents of all ages are learning about how to live a healthy, happy life.
4-H Youth Leadership and Development Maker camps, SET (Science, Engineering, and Technology) Squad service, and animal programs are just a few of the many opportunities for 4-H youth in Wayne County.
By participating in Mock Legislature, JYC camp, iCamp, retreats, and state contests, teens develop leadership skills they can bring back to their local community. Learn more about State 4-H involvement.
An afternoon program supports the needs of youth by involving young people in creating healthy snacks, encouraging physical activity, and assisting with homework.
From gardening and highway clean-up to heath programs and exciting summer fun, Wayne County 4-H offers a wide variety of activities and programs for youth including:
- Horse Program
- After School Program
- Teen Council: The teen council meets the first Thursday of every month at the courthouse, 6:30 pm.
