Utah Water Week
Utah Water Week 2022: Month of May (extended this year)
Every year, we ask all Utah Water Watch volunteers to sample their sites during Utah's official 'Utah Water Week', which is the first full week in May.
Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who helped monitor the beautiful waterbodies of Utah in the month of May. Your efforts helped provide a "snapshot" of the water quality of Utah's lakes and streams at the start of the monitoring season.

During Water Week, Utah Water Watch volunteers monitor their designated sites and
upload their water quality data to help us produce a snapshot of Utah's water quality
across the state. We post results and maps highlighting interesting findings.

What is Utah Water Week?
Utah Water Week provides a unique opportunity for both water professionals and the communities they
serve to join together to recognize the vital role water plays in our daily lives.A safe, reliable water supply is critical to the success of any community. We often
take our water supply for granted until it is threatened, either by drought, contaminants,
or other events. In 2007, in an effort to promote the importance of water quality, previous governor
Jon Huntsman Jr. signed legislation designating a state-wide water week, declaring
the first full week in May as Water Week. Check out statewide Water Week events (AWWA-IMS)
