Join Utah Water Watch's Big Water Week May 3rd - May 9th 2020.
During Water Week, Utah Water Watch volunteers monitor their designated sites and upload their water quality data to help us produce a snapshot of Utah's water quality across the state. We post results and maps highlighting interesting findings. All volunteers who submit a monitoring report to the database this week will be entered in a special prize drawing!
Join us in celebrating water and our watersheds!
What is Utah Water Week?
Utah Water Week provides a unique opportunity for both water professionals and the communities they serve to join together to recognize the vital role water plays in our daily lives.A safe, reliable water supply is critical to the success of any community. We often take our water supply for granted until it is threatened, either by drought, contaminants, or other events. In 2007, in an effort to promote the importance of water quality, previous governor Jon Huntsman Jr. signed legislation designating a state-wide water week, declaring the first full week in May as Water Week.
