4-H AND MILITARY-CONNECTED YOUTH
Utah is home both permanently and temporarily to many military-connected youth and families. The 4-H Military Partnerships Program, a national program, provides opportunities for military-connected youth to participate in 4-H in a variety of ways. Utah 4-H is committed to intentionally integrating research-based programs and resources for our military-connected youth, families, and communities to thrive.
Clubs and Other Fun Opportunities
Junior Master Gardener Clubs for Military-Connected Youth
Utah 4-H partners with the Utah National Guard to offer Junior Master Gardener (JMG) Clubs for military-connected youth across the state. These clubs provide hands-on gardening and environmental education experiences that support youth development, connection, and learning. Currently, Junior Master Gardener Clubs are offered in Weber, Salt Lake, Iron, and Washington Counties. Club schedules, locations, and meeting frequency vary by county.
