About Mark Ogletree:   

Mark D. Ogletree was raised in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1987 from Brigham Young University, a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology from Northern Arizona University in 1990, a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling in 1994 from Northern Arizona University and a Ph.D. in Family and Human Development from Utah State University in May 2000.     

For 20 years, Mark was involved in Secondary Education and has worked for over 30 years in Private Practice as a Marriage and Family Counselor. The Ogletrees lived in Mesa, Arizona, McKinney, Texas, and now in Provo, Utah.   

In 2010, Mark accepted a position at Brigham Young University as an Associate Professor, where he teaches courses on marriage and family life.   

Mark has published books and journal articles on marriage and family relationships. Some of his most recent books include:

Mark is married to the former Janie Cook, and they have eight children and 24 grandchildren.
