Agriculture and Natural Resources
Sanpete County is one of Utah’s primary agricultural production regions. According to Utah Agricultural Statistics, the county ranked first in turkey production and had the largest inventory of sheep in the state.
The Sanpete County Extension Office develops research-based education and programs to support agricultural producers and help them reach their production goals.
Utah State University Extension in Sanpete County works to bring university resources and expertise directly to the residents, farmers, and ranchers of the community.
