
Certified Sales Professional
The purpose of the Certified Sales Professional (CSP) course is to provide you with the essential training and skill development fundamental to qualifying for sales representative roles within MarketStar, a business-to-business sales company headquartered in Ogden, Utah. The CSP credential is a blended course, combining online modules with interactive virtual workshops.
This specialized, 45-hour training is designed to engage you in modern sales techniques and equip you with the tools and resources for success as a sales professional. You will also learn various approaches to effective communication, listening, and negotiation. Program participants will be eligible to apply for sales positions with MarketStar (subject to availability) after completing the first two weeks of training.

This specialized, 45-hour training is designed to engage you in modern sales techniques and equip you with the tools and resources for success as a sales professional. You will also learn various approaches to effective communication, listening, and negotiation.
The program includes four live, interactive workshops, hosted via video call using Zoom, a free video conferencing software. Workshops provide an opportunity for students to discuss career goals and review content from the modules in a virtual environment that simulates a real remote team.
Due to the virtual hosting of the workshops, you can attend the workshops from any location with Internet access. Each course typically hosts workshops on Thursdays at 6 p.m. MT.
Participation in all four workshops is mandatory for this course. The workshop schedule for each cohort is posted in the course description prior to enrollment. If you are not able to participate in any of the workshops, please enroll in a different section of the course that is compatible with your schedule.
Although this course is a non-credit course, periodic online assessments are used to confirm and measure learning. The online assessments can be repeated if you need to improve a score on a particular element. To successfully complete the course and earn the certificate, you will need to do the following:
- Complete all of the modules, including any assignments contained within each module.
- Pass each assessment with a minimum score of 80 percent.
- Attend all four interactive workshops.
Upon successful completion of all requirements, you will be presented with a Certificate of Completion to add to your work portfolio.
FAQ's about the Course
The $50 course fee is waived for all who have completed the Certified Remote Work Professional course. This is a pre-requisite to being accepted into the Certified Sales Professional course. This course has been funded by Talent Ready Utah and qualifies you for an interview with MarketStar and similar companies.
Participation in all four workshops is mandatory for this course. Please check the course dates to make the necessary arrangements to attend the required workshops.
