The Mountains and Plains Thriving Community Collaborative is one of 17 centers in the EPA’s Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center (EJ TCTAC) Program, serving Region 8. MaPTCC supports Utah’s communities—rural areas, small towns, and cities, including the 8 federally recognized Tribal Nations—by helping groups initiate, secure funding for, and implement local projects focused on environmental and energy justice.

MaPTCC serves the entirety of EPA Region 8, which includes Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming including Native American reservations situated in the region.

No, all of MaPTCC’s technical assistance services are provided free of charge to eligible organizations.

We respond to requests within two business days. The timeline for receiving assistance varies based on the complexity of the request and current demand.

MaPTCC does not provide direct funding. However, we assist organizations in identifying and applying for relevant funding opportunities.

We cannot provide grant-writing services directly, but we offer grant-writing workshops, one-on-one assistance, and access to pro-bono grant-writing experts to help organizations develop competitive grant proposals.
