Biography

Mike Sarles is the Statewide Program Coordinator for the Rural Online Initiative based in Garfield County. Mike came to us from the private sector with 20 plus years of experience in international business, sales, and online marketing. He’s worked as a remote worker for 14 years while also managing a remote team. Mike received his Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He speaks Mandarin Chinese and enjoys traveling to Asia. Mike is married with 5 children (three born in Asia). He is passionate about high tech and the e-commerce. When he’s not staring at a screen, he enjoys mountain biking, scuba diving, camping, swimming, hanging out with his kids, cooking, and baking. Mike is also a volunteer firefighter, an elected member of the local city council and participates with other volunteer organizations in his community.
