Tick Survey Results

2011-2012 Utah Tick Survey Preliminary Results

Collection for 2011 is complete. Collections will resume in Spring 2012 once weather favorable tick weather returns. Sites visited in the summer will be resampled and new sites will be identified and surveyed. Below is a tally of ticks collected by genus, date, site, weather, elevation, aspect, and sex.

PCR testing will be completed on Ixodes pacificus ticks to test for Lyme Borrelia. Results from the PCR tests will be posted on this site in Winter/Spring 2012.
