NOTICE: COVID-19 & Sample Submission
To help slow the spread of Covid-19, we are working remotely when able under the direction of University and / or state health mandates and guidelines. We are still able to assist you with with pest- or plant diagnostic services. However, we ask that you contact us prior to submitting ANY sample.
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to submitting a sample detailing what the pest or plant issue is, background information regarding the issue and pictures of the insect or plant problem. If a physical sample must be submitted, we will work with you to accommodate the submission.
Services that we Provide:
The Utah Plant Pest Diagnostic Lab (UPPDL) is a service of Utah State University Cooperative Extension and the Department of Biology at Utah State University. The UPPDL has entomology and plant pathology specialists and diagnosticians available to diagnose plant pest problems of arthropod (insect, mite, etc.) or disease origin. The UPPDL does not offer soil tests or plant tissue nutrient analyses. For these services, contact the USU Analytical Lab.
