About Us

Our Mission

The mission of the Ogden Botanical Gardens is to promote inner-city beauty and educational opportunities for everyone in a diverse and sustainable garden setting. The Ogden Botanical Gardens is dedicated to helping all visitors find answers and glean ideas to inspire and enhance their own quality of life through improved plant selection, cultural practices and environmentally sound activities.

History

Established in 1994, the Ogden Botanical Gardens are one of the most treasured places in the Ogden area. The 11-acre public garden is beautifully situated along the Ogden River and is home to several themed gardens such as rose, oriental, cottage, water-wise, edible, pollinator, trough, and accessibility, along with a powerline arboretum and a larger arboretum further down the parkway. With hundreds of perennials, annuals, and trees it provides an ideal setting for a leisurely walk, lunch, family gathering, wedding & receptions, company picnics, photography sessions, or just a serene place for contemplation.

Visitors can find answers and glean ideas to inspire and enhance their own quality of life through improved plant selection, cultural practices, and environmentally sound methods. Classes and events through the year offer opportunities to connect with other gardeners (whether novices or those with hard-earned green thumbs) to learn and share ideas.
