Language Learning

language class at picnic table

USU Extension Language Learning Program combines hands-on learning experiences and STEAM with foreign languages. The program is open to K-12 students with the target language background, i.e., dual immersion students and heritage students. The curriculum is designed with 4-H goals and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals in mind. We teach students to discover, care and protect our environment through various activities. You might find our students digging in the dirt and observing nature in the farm, as well as making art, engaging with the target culture through song, dress, and food, and practicing their language skills.
