Welcome to the Dark Sky Cooperatives!

Contact Us

The Basin & Range and Colorado Plateau Dark Sky Cooperatives have been in existence since 2019 and 2012, respectively. The groups are made up of a diverse set of individuals who care deeply for and are actively involved in the protection of natural night skies in their distinct regions.

The Dark Sky Cooperatives meet monthly to discuss current dark-skies topics, new resources, upcoming events, projects, and priorities for promoting night sky awareness. These meetings are intended to support the basic operational needs of the Cooperatives by fostering connections among members, acknowledging successes and challenges, and providing opportunities to share and learn from each other.

New members are always welcome!

If you would like to become a partner of the Dark Sky Cooperative Network and are interested in attending
our monthly meetings, please contact Lisa Stoner, Program Coordinator for the Dark Sky Cooperatives,
