Each lesson of this curriculum is designed to be flexible and adaptable to different educational settings, including classrooms, afterschool programs, and community workshops. Begin by assessing the knowledge of your participants (by providing pre-assessments), then teach the lesson and conduct the activities. The curriculum provides a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical applications, ensuring a holistic learning experience. End the lesson with the post-assessment to observe an increase in student’s knowledge for each lesson.

Each lesson includes a PowerPoint presentation with detailed note sections for each slide. Utilizing this presentation will ensure that educators are equipped with the necessary information to effectively teach students on topics regarding food waste reduction. In addition to the presentations, you will find a variety of resources, including activity and educational handouts. These materials are intended to support your teaching and enhance participant engagement. Be sure to review each lesson thoroughly and gather any additional materials you may need before starting.

We hope this curriculum serves as a valuable resource in your efforts to reduce food waste and promote sustainable practices. Together, we can make a difference in our communities and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future.
