Educational Background
Biography
I grew-up in Lexington, Kentucky and completed MS in plant and soil science from University of Kentucky and BS in horticulture from USU. I joined USU as Extension horticulture faculty in 2011.
Teaching Interests
1.Organic gardening education utilizing integrated pest management (IPM) and best management practices (BMPs) for reduced pesticide input gardening.
2. Promotion of native pollinator populations and habitat.
3. Sustainable agriculture and urban farming education and demonstration.
Research Interests
Utilization of invertebrates for pest management in urban settings.
Pollinator floral and habitat preferences and feasibility of public adoption of best management practices in an urban landscape.
