Demonstration Landscape Initiative:
Low Water Landscaping Ideas for DIY Home Use

Welcome to Utah State University’s water-wise demonstration neighborhood landscape located in Cedar City, Utah! Our goal is to provide you with water-efficient landscape design ideas that are easy to replicate in your home landscape. This project wouldn’t be possible without the help of our amazing partners & funding from the Utah Water Initiative. We’re just getting started and do not have a lot of content to share yet, but it’s coming. Currently, there are site plans and plant lists for three of the properties that have been installed thus far. We hope to provide installation costs and water use comparisons in the future. Also keep an eye out for virtual landscape tours which will highlight the efficiency of appropriate design, smart irrigation technology, and stormwater management that has been incorporated into each of these landscape designs.  We’re really excited about this project.
