Junior Teen Council
Club of youth 5th-6th grades working, planning, and learning together to strengthen their own personal leadership, communication, and team work skills while mentoring and teaching younger youth. Being a council member requires dedication and commitment but it is also about having FUN! Junior Teen Council is a great way to meet new friends and create lasting memories.
Program Overview
- Develop leadership, public speaking, and mentoring skills.
- Increase self confidence, growth mindset, and personal resilience.
- Develop resume and portfolio.
- Learn to organize and facilitate community service projects.
- Have FUN! Create new friendships and lasting memories
- Have 80% attendance to all Junior Teen Council Meetings.
- Compete in the Washington County 4-H County Contest.
- Enter in the Washington County Fair.
- Participate in one service project.
- Plan and present an Icebreaker to the group.
- Be a part of the rotating presidency. Be prepared to participate in any of the presidency rolls.
- Serve as a mentor at a cloverbud summer camp.
- 5th-6th Grade

Junior Teen Council Dates
The Junior Teen Council is held on Monday each month September-July from 4:30-6pm at the USU Extension Office. 339 5500 W, Hurricane, UT 84737
June-August youth will be invited to travel to attend Junior Youth Conference and run their club-planned cloverbud camp.
