Farmers Feeding Utah Helps Families In St. George

Some families in southern Utah are feeling relief following another project from Farmers Feeding Utah, which takes excess food from local farmers and donates it to groups and food banks across the Beehive State.

Since so many restaurants have been closed or have less business because of COVID-19, many farmers across Utah have been left with too much food.

The Farmers Feeding Utah program was developed so that people can make a donation to purchase the food, then it is given to families in need.

Farmers Feeding Utah has delivered more than a million pounds of food to several cities and towns throughout Utah.

The recent project in St. George helped just under 1,300 families in need. The food that was left was sent to the Utah Food Bank.
