Meditate Regularly

Are you struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, or anger in your life? If so, now might be an ideal time for you to adopt a regular meditation practice. Many studies show it can help improve your mental health. Here are a few things to think about:

- Experiment. There is no one way to “properly” meditate. The reality is that there are many ways to do it--guided, breathing, mantra, moving, emptying the mind, etc.

- Find resources. There are numerous free online resources available to guide you. Here is an example: https://www.psycom.net/mental-health.../meditation-resources.

- Get still. You can sit in any position that is comfortable for you (cross your legs, sit in a chair, lie down).
- Let go. Relax by taking a few deep, slow breaths and loosen up. Over time you will find what works best for you.

- Go inside. Now, depending on your method, just sit still and observe your thoughts or try to clear your mind by repeating a word or phrase (a mantra), for instance. Meditate as long as you want. Use online samples to get started. Discover what works for you.
