Ag Field Days

Ag Field Day provides middle school aged students an opportunity to experience elements of a working farm in a hands-on way. Dates are still being determined for 2021.

Ag Field Days are sponsored by local agricultural organizations. Students attend demonstrations on a variety of farm related topics including raising dairy, beef and sheep. They also learn about soil health, food and crop production, beekeeping and nutrition.     

The purpose behind this project is to help children understand where food comes from; and thus, the importance of agriculture in our society.

Ag Field Day is open to middle schools in Summit County and each year students are educated about agriculture at local business in their area. Transportation must be arranged by the schools.
