Insights:

Our brain is our biggest sexual organ, stimulate it by developing your sexual tool box. Start by formulating a connection with your partner. Then, rethink what sex is to you. Does sexual satisfaction always have to end in an orgasm or mind-blowing new experiences? How often do you want to have sex? Are you willing to allow change in yourself and your partner’s sexual needs and want? Now, schedule a sexual date with your partner. Finding ways to prioritize and schedule sex with your partner builds attraction and consistency with your relationship. Next, communicate! Yes, it may be awkward at first but communicating your wants and needs with your partner will build intimacy and safety so that you both can experience pleasure. Lastly, have a growth mindset. Develop a standard of change and growth in your relationship. Allow for your own change and the change of your partner.

Invites:

  • Brainstorm 3-5 ideas you could do to add a ritual of connection with your partner.
  • What is your current idea of what counts as sex and how can you use the metaphor of keeping a log on the fire to expand your idea of sex and sexual connection? Is that idea still working for your relationship?
  • Write down the days and times that would work best in our life for a sex date?
  • Just Do It: Have a safe sex conversation with your partner. Set a timer for 30 minutes, start with a connection, end with an appreciation, seal it with a kiss and create a new pattern to talk about your sex life.
  • Have a sexual conversation with your partner by starting low and slow. Choose something light that you can discuss at first to begin with, not your deepest sexual hurt.
  • Find your growth mindset mantra for the week.
