Introduction to Sexual Mindfulness

This Sexual Mindfulness course is intended to increase awareness about healthy sexual relationships. The course covers topics such as sexual anatomy, emotional intimacy, sexual communication, sexual myths and meanings, meditation, and mindfulness practice. The course puts a lot of emphasis on being more mindful about your sexual relationship.

Communication About Sex

This lesson will explore principles of healthy sexual communication. We will also look at ways we have been impacted by sexual stereotypes and how we can adopt healthy sexual mindsets.

Basics of a Relationship
When two individuals come together to establish a connection, and the emotional and physical aspects are in harmony, it can be a beautiful and fulfilling experience. Vulnerability and authenticity play crucial roles in fostering trust, intimacy, and understanding in romantic and sexual relationships. When both partners feel safe to express their true selves and emotions, it can lead to a deeper and more meaningful connection.

How well do you know your sexual body parts? Do you have questions about male or female genitalia but do not know where to get accurate, comfortable information? Sexuality can be very frustrating when you don’t understand your own body or your partner's body. This lesson covers the proper terminology and function of both female and male sexual anatomy.

Differences in Sex

Do you and your spouse or partner have different timing, desires, or needs associated with sexual arousal? Being aware of common sexual differences between men and women can help you and your spouse or partner strengthen and enhance your sexual relationship.

Mindfulness Basics

Do you ever feel frazzled? Or like your mind is going 100 miles per hour? Practicing mindfulness through a body scan may help you feel more relaxed and in control.

Mindfulness and Sexuality

Would you like sex to be more enjoyable? This lesson provides practical tips on how to incorporate mindfulness into sex, helping you slow down, focus, and fully engage with your senses. By being present and intentional, you can enhance intimacy, build a stronger connection with your partner, and enjoy a more pleasurable experience for both of you.

Slowing down and being mindful of your sexual experiences can lead to more satisfying sex for both partners. In this lesson, we will talk about the benefits of being mindful during sex and we will explain how to do several experiential activities. These exercises can help you practice being more mindful in your relationship and your personal life.

Self Compassion and Mindfulness

Self-compassion is a simple way to nurture and soothe yourself when you’re feeling down. Rather than dismissing your negative thoughts and feelings, you can choose to nurture and comfort yourself in moments of challenge and distress by self-soothing.

Emotional Intimacy

When do you feel deeply connected to your partner? What is it about those times that allows for greater connection? An important part of building deep emotional intimacy with your partner is for both of you to freely share and open up to each other in a genuine way to allow for deep connection. When you feel like you can truly be yourself with your partner, it strengthens your bond and makes your sexual relationship more fulfilling.

Sexual Safety, Growth, and Responsibility for Your Own Sexual Satisfaction

Do you ever feel stuck in the same patterns in your sexual relationship and wish things could change? Feeling this way sometimes is normal, and you’re not alone. In this lesson, we’ll talk about how to share your feelings, desires, and hopes with your spouse or partner.
