Nutrient Management & Soil Fertility

Nutrient management and soil fertility are important considerations in all crop production systems, as is improving and maintaining soil health.  Good soil health will provide better nutrient and water holding capacity, which will in turn help make a more resilient and productive growing system. Organic systems primarily rely on the use of cover crops, composts and manures, and commercial organic fertilizers to help build their soil and provide the nutrients their crops need.
