STEM Programs

Science + Technology + Engineering + Math = STEM

 

STEM programs are designed to foster passion and provide 4-H youth the opportunity to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) through fun, hands-on activities and projects.  4-H science programs are available through local clubs, camps, and schools.  Focus areas include:

  • Robotics
  • Rocketry
  • Computer Science
  • Computational Thinking
  • Agricultural Science
  • Biotechnology
  • Veterinary Science
  • Environmental Science

Join the Online STEM Club! STEM Club meets the first Thursday of the month over Zoom. Register on ZSuite to receive a link to attend.

Depending on the activity each month, supplies for projects will be common household items or be supplied in kits that can be picked up in Riverton or at the County office.

County STEM TRY Team: Salt Lake County also offers a Teens Reaching Youth team that is STEM focused and provides teens with a leadership opportunity.
