Description:

Plate 1164X. Wildcat Pasture 1918 – 2005 Viewed southeast across Wildcat Pasture from just east of the Wildcat Ranger Station - - see Plate 1163X. Willows appear largely unchanged. The meadow is used as a USFS horse pasture, and is mostly Kentucky bluegrass, needle and thread, snakeweed, and rubber rabbitbrush, with sedges near the willows. In the distance, ponderosa pine has increased, while aspen has declined. The spruce near the horsemen, Rangers Hanks and Robins, appears to have died.
