Description:

Plate 185X. Upper Valley 1942 - 2003 Viewed northwest in Upper Valley. The initial image was taken shortly after the Forest Service had treated the area with a wheatland plow to eliminate sagebrush. The site was later reseeded with crested wheatgrass. Sagebrush and rubber rabbitbrush, however, have reinvaded the area, while pinyon, juniper, and ponderosa pine have increased on the distant hillsides.
