United Order Woolen Mill

Description:

Plate 892X. United Order Woolen Mill 1915 – 2005 Viewed north-northeast to the old United Order Woolen Mill north of Glendale, Utah. This is just north of Lydias Canyon. The original photopoint is now surrounded by a dense growth of oakbrush, pinyon, and juniper, so the retake was made from the valley floor. Willows around the old mill have declined, as has river birch that once surrounded Hidden Lake in the distance - - see Plate 546x. The latter were removed by the property owner to enhance the view. Pinyon, juniper, oakbrush, Utah serviceberry, and true mountain mahogany have increased on the distant hillsides.
