Plate 725X. Truman Bench 1962 – 2004 The Forest Service established four utilization transects, one pellet group transect, and two Parker-Three Step Transects on Truman Bench in 1962 to monitor range conditions. Plate 725x is viewed north at the start of the first utilization transect, which is marked with the rock carin. Pinyon and juniper have increased, as have cliff rose, Utah serviceberry, mountain big sage, snakeweed, bitterbrush, birchleaf mountain mahogany, and curlleaf mountain mahogany.
