Plate 721X. Truman Bench 1962 – 2004 The Forest Service established four utilization transects, one pellet group transect, and two Parker-Three Step Transects on Truman Bench in 1962 to monitor range conditions. Plate 721x is viewed north at the first utilization transect. Pinyon and juniper have increased, as have cliff rose, Utah serviceberry, mountain big sage, and snakeweed.
