Plate 1239X. Tropic Canyon 1961 – 2006 Viewed northwest up Topic Canyon just below the mouth of Water Canyon in Bryce Canyon National Park. The original photo was taken as Utah Highway 12 was being realigned, widened, and paved. Water Canyon enters on the left where the bridge was under construction in the 1952 image. Ponderosa pine, oakbrush, pinyon, and juniper have increased on the right.
