Description:

Plate 1118X. Tommy Creek Spring 1938 – 2005 Viewed northeast to the large spring at the head of the southern fork of Tommy Creek. The area was actively being grazed by cattle in 2005. Most of the meadow has been reseeded to smooth brome - - see Plates 1110x and 1111X. Aspen has declined, while spruce and other conifers have increased. The water level in the spring was very high in 2005 due to the exceedingly wet winter of 2004. The shrubs in the original are silver sage.
