Description:

Plate 527X. Lower LeVanger Lake 1934 – 2004 - 2005 Viewed southwest down Lower LeVanger Lake near Alton, UT. The county road in the foreground has been realigned, widened, and paved. Pinyon, juniper, and ponderosa pine have increased. Most of the older pines have not been logged. A new house has been constructed. The line on the right edge of the retakes is a guy wire from an electric pole. The waterbody is spring fed and the lake was almost dry in 2004 due to the extended drought. The following winter and spring, though, were extremely wet and the lake was completely full in 2005 - - also see Plates 177x and 615 x.
