Plate 985X. Ikes Valley Reservoir 1952 – 1958 – 2005 Viewed south to the reservoir at the head of Ikes Valley. The area around the pond has been treated and is mostly smooth brome and Kentucky bluegrass with some native Stipa spp. In the distance, ponderosa pine, juniper, oakbrush, Utah serviceberry, snowberry, currant, and squaw apple have all increased. Utah Highway 14 is located on top of the distant hill in the 1952 and 1958 images, but is hidden from view by forest in-growth today. The site was actively being grazed by sheep in 2005.
