Description:

Plate 1210X. Three Patriarchs 1872 – 2006 Viewed northwest to the Three Patriarchs at the mouth of Birch Creek in Zion National Park. The original photopoint was destroyed when the road up Zion Canyon was constructed, so the retake was made from the nearest open area. Cottonwood and boX elder have matured and now block the view of the Virgin River. Pinyon, juniper, Utah serviceberry, and turbinella oak have increased in the distance.
