Description:

Plate 1207X. South Mountain 1929 – 2006 Viewed southeast across the Virgin River to South Mountain (6,696 ft) near Springdale, Utah. The foreground is privately owned. Cottonwoods and other woody riparian vegetation have increased along the Virgin River. Pinyon and juniper have increased in the distance.
