South Fork Of Taylor Creek

Plate 1471X. South Fork of Taylor Creek 1963 – 2007 Viewed southeast up the South Fork of Taylor Creek to Lee Pass in the Kolob Canyons section of Zion National Park. The initial image was made before the park road was built to Kolob Canyons Viewpoint. As construction destroyed the original camera station, the retake was made from the nearest open area atop the highway cut-bank. Pinyon and juniper have increased as have mountain brush species, including gambel oak, Utah serviceberry, birchleaf mountain mahogany, and turbinella oak.
