Plate 1403X. Second Mound 1947 – 2006 Viewed south to Second Mound southwest of Parowan, Utah. The crested wheatgrass field has been replanted because the rows now run north-south, not east-west, as they did in the 1947 image. Interstate 15 has been built through the center of the photograph - - note the vehicles in the retake. Pinyon and juniper have increased on the distant hills, except where they have been chained - - photo right edge.
