Plate 28X. Roundup Flat 1964-2002 Viewed east across Roundup Flat on the eastern flank of Boulder Mountain with the Henry Mountains in the distance. Grasses have declined while shrubs, primarily snowberry, have increased. The area was heavily grazed by cattle in 2002. Aspen regenerated during the late 1970’s when mule deer numbers were low (Kay and Bartos 2000). The rocks in the foreground were disturbed when Utah Highway 12 was widened and paved.
