Description:

Plate 149 PUFFER LAKE: ca. 1925 - 1999 Plates 148 and 149 form a panorama viewed south and southwest across Puffer Lake. The lake level is considerably lower in 1999 than it was in 1925. Over this period, conifers have increased while aspen (Populus tremuloides) has declined. All aspen stands in the photo have been heavily invaded by conifers and none have regenerated successfully.
