Plate 235X. Podunk Creek 1964 - 2003 Viewed northwest down Podunk Creek. The original photograph was taken three years after the area was contour-trenched and reseeded to control erosion. Smooth brome is the most common grass today, although crested and intermediate wheatgrass were also planted. The shrubs in the retake are mostly shrubby cinquefoil and rubber rabbitbrush. Spruce, juniper, and ponderosa pine have all increased.
