Plate 764X. Pine Valley 1941 – 2004 Viewed southwest across Pine Valley to the Pine Valley Mountains. Willows have decreased along the Santa Clara River, which flows from left to right. Pinyon and juniper have increased as have ponderosa pine, white fir, spruce, and mountain brush. New homes have been built. The foreground is mostly crested wheatgrass. The old church is visible in both photographs.
