Plate 772X. Pine Valley 1938 – 2004 Viewed west to the Pine Valley Mountains. The photopoint is in the Mountain View Administration Site horse pasture - - see Plates 695x to 697x, and as such was interseeded with crested wheatgrass in 1936. The area to the left of the fence was reseeded, while the area to the right was not. Mountain big sage has declined, as crested wheatgrass has increased. Pinyon and juniper have increased, as have ponderosa pine, white fir, spruce, and mountain brush.
