Plate 511X. Pine Creek 1918 – 2004 Viewed northwest up Pine Creek north of Escalante, UT. Pinyon and juniper now block the original camera station, so the retake was made from the nearest open area. The foreground is private property. Nevertheless, woody riparian vegetation has increased along Pine Creek despite yearly livestock grazing. Pinyon and juniper have increased. A new house has been added.
